How home education changed the way I see childhood
Before I ever became a family photographer, I became a mum.
Choosing to home educate has completely reshaped how I see childhood - not as something to rush through, but as something to notice.
Without the constant rhythm of school runs and packed schedules, I've watched how much learning happens in the everyday.
A walk becomes an adventure. A question becomes an afternoon of discovery. A muddy puddle becomes an experiment.
That slower, more curious perspective is at the heart of every family and natural newborn session I photograph.
I don't arrive with a long list of poses or expect children to perform for the camera.
Instead, I quietly observe. I notice the way your toddler curls into your shoulder when they're tired, how siblings invent imaginary games, and the tiny rituals that make your family unique.
Whether I'm photographing a growing family, welcoming a new baby, creating personal branding photography for a small business, or documenting an intimate event, my approach is always the same: honest, relaxed and centred around real connection.
The result isn't a collection of perfect photographs.

Your children's privacy matters to me
One of the biggest decisions I've made as both a mum and a photographer is not to share identifiable photographs of children's faces on my website or social media.
Childhood is incredibly precious, and I believe children deserve the opportunity to grow up without every beautiful moment becoming part of their public digital footprint.
This doesn't change the photographs I create for my clients. Your gallery will be full of joyful expressions, laughter and connection - it simply means the images I choose to share publicly protect your child's identity.
